Stand With Us In Service

Stand With Us In Service

2020 was a difficult year. We look back and think of the number of people who suddenly found themselves unemployed. Many neighbors who lined up for the first time at food lines needing to feed their families. Renters who, while unemployed, were able to defer their rental payments and they have now come due. Families who were living on the edge of homelessness now finding themselves struggling to hang on. Everyday families and individuals are calling out in need of help with rent, utilities, and food.

Throughout it all, our staff has been helping community members facing homelessness find housing and working with them through financial education. We have been handing out food and clothing. In 2020, our St. Lawrence Community Services and Beyond Shelter Programs spent an estimated 10,000 plus hours meeting with individuals and families to fill these needs. Even when COVID-19 challenged the very manner in which we provided service, we found another way to continue to offer our service. We stood up to the challenge. We need you now to continue to STAND WITH US until this virus is under control and more of our neighbors can get back to work.

This Lenten Season we ask you to partner with us, to stand with us, as we are all called to service. “For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many” Mark 10:45. Your gift today will help a neighbor get back on their feet!

Together we can do great things! ~ Mother Teresa
