We are currently looking to fill a part-time Shelter Lead Staff Position at the Sojourner House in Eau Claire working with our community homeless population. The Lead Staff assists in the operations and provides shift supervision, support, and training to volunteers during the evening and night shifts. Ideal candidates will possess excellent decision making & interpersonal skills. Be recognized as a leader and respond to urgent and/or unexpected situations. Prior experience with the homeless or vulnerable preferred.

Candidates must be willing to work nights and weekends. Shifts are 6:30 pm-10:30 pm, and 5:30 am-9:30 am. Shifts from 6:30 pm-1:30 am and 1:30 am-9:30 am-these two shifts qualify for shift differential pay of $3.00 per hour during the hours of 10 pm to 5 am.

Pay is from $15 to $18.89 per hour depending on education and experience. Shift differential of $3.00 per hour added when working between the hours of 10 pm and 5 am. Must be 18 years old. Background check required. Students interested in the human services field encouraged to apply!
