Good Shepherd Shelter Lead Staff
We are currently looking to fill a part-time Shelter Lead Staff position at the Good Shepherd Shelter in Wausau working with our community homeless population. The Lead Staff would assist in the operations and provide shift supervision, support, and training to volunteers during the evening shifts. Ideal candidates will possess excellent decision making & interpersonal skills. Be recognized as a leader and respond to urgent and/or unexpected situations. Prior experience with the homeless or vulnerable preferred.
Part-time shifts are available working Monday through Friday from 6 pm to 10 pm with rotating weekends. Expected hours: 20–28 per week. Part-time benefits include PLT (personal leave time), holiday pay, eligible to participate in 401(k) with match up to 3 % after a year (and 1,000 hour worked). $15.00 -$18.89 starting wage based on experience & education. Must be 18 years old to work in the Warming Center. Background check required. Students interested in the human services field encouraged to apply!
