Driftless Pass Support Specialist-La Crosse

This is a full-time position that provides services in the community, alternative school and on-site in the form of mentoring, academic and behavior management support, as agreed upon by the Program Coordinator/Director and Special Education Teacher. The Support Specialist relays information back to their Coordinator/Director to keep the family, school or other agencies informed. The Support Specialist will also help Paraprofessionals, Coordinator, and Teacher to ensure and maintain a safe learning environment. Bachelor’s Degree or Associate’s Degree in human services field such as psychology, education, social work, or recreation preferred, but not required. Experience with persons with developmental disabilities preferred.
