Lorrin PekarskeAn 80’s night fundraiser for Catholic Charities Pregnancy Support and Adoption programs? Like totally righteous!

The Catholic Charities Adoption and Pregnancy Support team have always bonded over our mutual love of 80’s music. When brainstorming ideas for a program fundraiser of a fun and interactive 80’s themed sing along night complete with a costume contest, karaoke, and videos wasthought up, it seemed to be a perfect fit! We are stoked to present Balladz for Babies on Thursday, September 11 from 7:00-9:00 pm (registration begins at 6:30 pm) at Playmakers Grill (101 Graham Street, Eau Claire). From Journey to Whitney Houston to Bon Jovi to Rick Springfield, there will be 80’s music for everyone to enjoy to the max, so be sure to pencil this event in to your calendar!

This fun-loving event serves to raise support for Catholic Charities Pregnancy Support and Adoption programs. Catholic Charities is proud to provide support to countless women and couples facing the crisis of an unplanned pregnancy. Our program provides numerous services such as providing transportation to prenatal appointments, offering assistance with maternity clothes, helping individuals connect with community housing, medical, and financial resources, and most importantly providing a compassionate, confidential, and non-judgmental listening ear to any individuals in need of support when facing an unplanned pregnancy. These services ensure that the mother (or parents) and child have the best possible start at life! Catholic Charities is proud to offer these services free of charge to individuals of any faith background. If the expectant parent is interested, Catholic Charities is able to provide adoption services, however, some individuals who work with the pregnancy support program choose to parent their children. Catholic Charities aids, supports and connects these individuals to resources in order to ensure they will have a successful start on their parenting journey.

Catholic Charities also provides international, domestic, independent, relative, and step-parent adoption services to individuals located in the Diocese of La Crosse and Superior. For over a century, Catholic Charities Adoption Services has helped hundreds of children to be placed into their “forever families.” We consider it a great privilege to accompany adoptive parents on their journey to becoming a family and we continue to support families throughout the life course through our Post Adoption Resource
Center.

We are thrilled to present this engaging and entertaining event to provide support for such a worthy cause. We can’t wait to see you in your 80’s choice duds for what is sure to be a totally happening evening at Balladz for Babies!
