Eau Claire

Hello! I originally got involved with Catholic Charities through a project I spearheaded at UW – Eau Claire. We were doing research about homelessness and housing insecurity in Eau Claire, and I convinced my group to participate in an entire day of volunteering at the Sojourner House. This was in April of 2023, so we were helping them get ready for the grand opening coming that June. During my day there, I worked alongside the homeless individuals who used Sojourner House regularly; we took down the old beds, put together new ones, and did cleaning and organization around the new facility. Being able to work alongside people who were so grateful for the services provided by Sojourner House was incredible, and it gave me a new passion for working with vulnerable populations. In August of 2023, I was hired on as Sojourner House’s Assistant Coordinator, and in September of that same year, I took over as Sojourner House’s Shelter Coordinator. Being given the opportunity to serve a population that is undervalued and overlooked in our everyday society has been humbling to say the least.

I am honored to be able to continue and expand upon my passion for serving some of our nation’s most vulnerable in my new role as Catholic Charities Grants Coordinator. I am excited to be able to help our organization continue our mission and increase the opportunities to serve in each of our communities.

I graduated from UW – Eau Claire in May of 2023 with my Bachelor’s in Organizational Communication and a minor in Psychology. I recently got married in November of 2023 to my high-school sweetheart who also works in the non-profit industry, and we have 2 American Cocker Spaniels named Lewie and Charles. I am also currently in graduate school for Marriage and Family Therapy.
