The purpose of Summer Programming is to provide support for parents and caregivers by offering services in daily living, social skills and opportunities for summer recreation to individuals with developmental disabilities. Classes are offered in La Crosse and Holmen from mid-June to mid-August, and are available to K-12 students and students ages 5-22. Students attend a variety of weekly outings at libraries, pools, parks and movie theaters. These outings have included the Niagara Cave, Perrot State Park, The National Eagle Center in Wabasha, the N.A.S.A. Pontoon Boat Ride, the La Crosse City Fair, Myrick Park and the Marcus Summer Movies Series.
Private pay is accepted at any time. Public enrollment must be approved for services by the school district or county funding human services department. Please contact your child’s teacher, case manager or social worker to get started. Registration is due by May 16.
