2020 fue un año dificil. Miramos atrás y pensamos en la cantidad de personas que de repente se encontraron en el paro.. Muchos vecinos que hicieron fila por primera vez en filas de comida para alimentar a sus familias. Inquilinos que, mientras está desempleado, were able to defer their rental payments and they have now come due. Families who were living on the edge of homelessness now finding themselves struggling to hang on. Everyday families and individuals are calling out in need of help with rent, utilidades, and food.

Throughout it all, our staff has been helping community members facing homelessness find housing and working with them through financial education. We have been handing out food and clothing. En 2020, our St. Lawrence Community Services and Beyond Shelter Programs spent an estimated 10,000 plus hours meeting with individuals and families to fill these needs. Even when COVID-19 challenged the very manner in which we provided service, we found another way to continue to offer our service. We stood up to the challenge. We need you now to continue to STAND WITH US until this virus is under control and more of our neighbors can get back to work.
