I have been working for Catholic Charities since 2017. I started as Lead Staff at Sojourner House, and moved into the Assistant Coordinator position in January 2020. I have always been passionate about helping others, and I love that my job allows me to do so every day. Working with our guests at Sojourner House is such a rewarding experience. I get to make connections with so many people, have the opportunity to help them when they are in a vulnerable situation, and watch them work hard and succeed.
I have an Associate’s Degree in Information Technology – Software and Mobile Development, but I love what I do with Catholic Charities, so I apply the concepts of my education to my job more than I do my skills. I love organizing data and working through processes to improve what we do at the House by helping staff and getting feedback from our guests.
When I’m not at work, I can usually be found at the Eau Claire Children’s Theater rehearsing for my next show. I am an actor with the theater, and I do around 8 shows with them each year. I also play Dungeons and Dragons with my friends, and go on small adventures around the Chippewa Valley’s many parks and nature trails with my dog. In the winter, I go downhill skiing with my family, and sometimes go cross country skiing in the area as well.
