We do our best to provide you with up-to-date lists of therapists in Western and Northern Wisconsin who have specific training and/or experience in foster care and adoption issues. Catholic Charities Post Adoption Resource Center does not endorse any particular therapists listed. We would like to thank Western Wisconsin Advocates for Adoption for their assistance in keeping this list up-to-date.
Just getting started? View/Print “Selecting and Working With a Therapist Skilled in Adoption” Fact Sheet from Child Welfare Information Gateway.
Therapists on our list have either:
- Attended training on foster care and adoption issues
- Been recommended by an adoption or foster care professional
- Been recommended by a foster or adoptive family
From the directory, you will be able to filter the listing by city, age of client accepted, insurance accepted, etc. Please keep in mind that insurance coverage is always changing, and it is always best to call and talk with the therapist’s office directly to confirm. Always feel free to contact us for direction in choosing a therapist who is a good fit for your family.
If you are a parent and would like to recommend a therapist who is familiar with adoption-related issues, please contact us so we can look into adding the therapist to our list.
