…and she gave birth to her firstborn son. She wrapped him in swaddling clothes and laid him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn.
Luke 2:7

As we approach the sacred season of Advent, a time of reflection and preparation for the birth of our Savior, let us recall the poignant words from Luke 2:7: “Because there was no room for them in the inn...”. Imagine the plight of Mary and Joseph, seeking shelter on a holy night, only to be turned away. How often in our lives do we mirror this indifference, failing to recognize the face of Jesus in those in need around us?

At Catholic Charities, we strive to embody the spirit of compassion and hospitality, ensuring that no one is turned away. We open our doors to the most vulnerable members of our community, providing them with warmth, nourishment, and hope. This year, the rising cost of living has pushed many families to the brink of homelessness, while food insecurity has become a stark reality for countless individuals. Yet, despite these mounting demands, our resources remain stretched thin.

This Advent season, we humbly appeal to your generosity to help us continue our mission of serving Christ’s children in our community. We recognize that many of our supporters are also facing financial constraints. Hence, if you are not able to give this advent we simply ask for your continued prayers. Your unwavering support is a beacon of hope, enabling us to touch countless lives.

For those who are able to increase their donation this Advent season, we would be eternally grateful. Your generosity will fill the void left by those who are unable to contribute this year. Together let us open our hearts and homes to the Lord this Advent season. Your compassion will ripple through our community, spreading the message of love and hope that lies at the heart of our mission. May God bless you and your loved ones!
