Office Front Desk Receptionist: We are looking for more additions to our Front Desk Receptionist Volunteer team! Various shifts are available Mon – Thurs 9 am – 12:30 pm & 12:30 pm – 4 pm. We are also looking for anyone with a flexible schedule to be an “on-call” volunteer to cover others’ shifts during the week. Main duties include answering incoming phone calls, greeting clients, answering questions about Catholic Charities programs, processing mail, receipting donations, and assisting staff with projects as needed. Training is provided! Must be able to work with a diverse group of people in a nonjudgmental manner and be able to understand and maintain confidentiality.

Administrative Volunteer: We are looking for a volunteer to help with the administrative needs of our St. Lawrence Community Services and our Immigration Services Programs. An administrative volunteer will help significantly reduce the workload of our case workers, allowing them to reach more individuals in need. A volunteer in this position would help with filing correspondence and bills in client files, entering information on our agency database (Apricot), opening mail from SSA, preparing notification of change of address and entering case opening & closing information into Excel spreadsheets and our agency database. An ideal Administrative volunteer would be available a few hours a week, be detail oriented, have basic experience and familiarity with Excel spreadsheets and/or databases, be able to work on cases for a diverse group of people in a nonjudgmental manner, and be able to maintain confidentiality and adhere to CCDL's privacy procedures. Training will be provided.

Drivers: We are looking for volunteers to drive to Aquinas to pick up school lunches and deliver them to the Disability Services Program at our Southside office in La Crosse (3710 East Avenue South) from 11:30 am – noon, Monday – Friday, during school days.

Representative Payee Program Admin Assistant: Pick your shift and create your hours. Any time during regular office hours: Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday, help is needed! Assistant would be responsible for filing work, data entry, mailings and general administrative support. All training is provided.


La Crosse Warming Center 

Overnight Volunteers: Our most significant need for volunteers is on overnight shifts from 9:00 pm – 3:00 am and 3:00 am – 8:00 am. These can be combined into one 9:00 pm – 8:00 am shift as well. The nights that need the most help are Mondays, Wednesdays, 2nd and 4th Thursdays, and Fridays. We need 2-3 people in the Warming Center for the whole night.
