Catholic Charities Project Step Up provides assistance for Marathon County families with children who are struggling to make ends meet. With the help and support of the Catholic Charities staff and volunteers, families in our community can achieve a successful financial future for themselves and their children.
Families Achieve Financial Stability Through:
• Repairing Credit
• Tracking Spending
• Using Community Resources
• Setting and Accomplishing Goals
• Developing life skills in basic budgeting, banking, consumer skills, credit and financial planning
Family Requirements:
• Income at or below 200% of the Federal Poverty Guideline
• Dependent children in the home
• One or more adults currently employed, in W-2 program, and/or attending school
• Resident of Marathon County
• Required to meet with Mentor and Program Coordinator on a regular basis, a minimum of once a month
Families Commit To:
• One Year Commitment
• Participate in financial literacy courses
• Being motivated to make a change, learn new skills, and develop money managment strategies
